Research has shown mindful awareness to be a useful tool to help people with Parkinson's, with reports of feeling less anxious about the future, less stuck in the past, more in the present, and less stressed.
What is mindfulness? Being aware and noticing what's happening in the present moment. Observing your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings without judging or reacting to them.
Here are a few ways to get started from organizations within the Parkinson's community. There are many other FREE and paid mindfulness apps and courses that are also useful to help you get started if you feel learning mindfulness might benefit you.
